RealTrends Verified Recognizes Milli Cannata Among America's Top Real Estate Professionals

More Than a Ranking—A Reflection of Trust, Advocacy, and Service

I’m honored to share that I’ve been recognized as a 2025 RealTrends Verified Agent, placing me among the Top 1.5% of real estate professionals nationwide and among the Top 10 REALTORS® in Sebastopol, ranking #8 by sales volume.

Receiving this recognition is deeply meaningful, and I am incredibly grateful to my clients, colleagues, referral partners, family, and friends who have trusted me throughout the years.

Yet while awards measure production, they don't measure everything that truly matters.

The numbers tell part of the story.

The work I'm most proud of often never appears in production reports.

Why This Matters to My Clients

While I'm honored by this recognition, I believe the true measure of success isn't found in awards. It's found in the trust my clients place in me to guide them through life's biggest decisions with honesty, strategy, and care.

Every client has a unique story, a unique challenge, and a unique dream. My commitment has always been to provide thoughtful guidance, advocate fiercely, negotiate strategically, and help people make informed decisions—even when that decision isn't to buy or sell.

That philosophy has guided my career from the very beginning and continues to shape every client relationship today.

What the Numbers Don't Measure

Real estate is much more than buying and selling property.

It is helping people navigate some of the most important—and often most difficult—chapters of their lives.

The numbers don't account for the families who chose not to sell because together we found a better solution.

They don't reflect the foreclosure that never happened because we explored alternatives before it was too late.

They don't measure the inherited property where a family finally understood their options before making a life-changing decision.

They don't capture the negotiations that required patience, strategy, and the willingness to walk away from offers that undervalued a client's home—ultimately protecting their equity and often resulting in a stronger outcome.

They don't show the countless hours coordinating inspectors, contractors, lenders, escrow officers, title professionals, attorneys, engineers, stagers, photographers, and local businesses to keep transactions moving forward.

Nor do they recognize the investors, entrepreneurs, and business owners I've helped restructure strategies, negotiate complex agreements, or identify opportunities that extended far beyond a real estate transaction.

Sometimes the best advice I can give someone is simply:

"Don't sell."

If helping someone protect their future means I don't earn a commission, I consider that a success.

More Than Unlocking Doors

One of the biggest misconceptions about real estate is that our work begins when a door is unlocked and ends when the paperwork is signed.

In reality, every successful transaction requires marketing, project management, negotiation, problem-solving, risk management, financial strategy, and countless conversations that happen behind the scenes.

Over the years, I've been entrusted with some of the most complex situations in real estate.

I Help Clients Navigate:

  • Probate & inherited property
  • Trust and estate sales
  • Divorce & marriage dissolution
  • Foreclosure prevention
  • Distressed properties
  • Red-tag and code enforcement issues
  • Country & rural property
  • Fire-damaged homes
  • Investment properties
  • Vacation rental ordinance changes
  • ADUs and development opportunities
  • Lot splits and legacy estate planning
  • Business transitions and strategic consulting
  • Relocation

No two situations are alike.

That's why no two strategies should be either.

My commitment has always been to understand each client's unique goals and create a thoughtful strategy that protects both their financial interests and their peace of mind.

The Art of Negotiation

One lesson from my mentor, Lorna Hines, has stayed with me throughout my career:

"The art of negotiation is the ability to walk away. The skill is not having to."

That philosophy has guided countless negotiations.

Sometimes the greatest value I provide isn't accepting the first offer—it's knowing when patience, preparation, and strategy will achieve a better outcome.

In 2025 alone, one transaction required rebuilding what many believed was a dead deal. Through persistence, collaboration, and creative problem-solving, multiple transactions ultimately closed that otherwise may never have happened.

Moments like these rarely make headlines, but they are the moments that define this profession.

Why I Continue to Love This Profession

A respected colleague, George Capone, once said:

"Real estate is one of life's greatest spiritual teachers."

I've found that to be true.

This profession continually teaches integrity, resilience, patience, humility, stewardship, and service.

We are advocates first.

We help people protect their property rights, preserve wealth, steward land responsibly, and make informed decisions that can impact generations to come.

Helping someone own a piece of land is about more than ownership.

It's about creating a place where dreams, families, businesses, and legacies can grow.

A Heartfelt Thank You

I've been part of the real estate industry since 2001.

Even after more than two decades, I still feel like I'm learning every day.

Ranking #8 in Sebastopol by sales volume is an incredible honor, especially knowing the talented professionals who have helped shape our local real estate community. Their experience continues to inspire me, and I remain grateful for every opportunity to learn and grow.

Personally, this past year brought its own challenges, making this recognition even more meaningful. There were days when simply showing up required faith, perseverance, and the encouragement of those around me.

To the clients who trusted me through those moments—thank you.

Your confidence in me is something I will never take for granted.

This recognition belongs as much to you as it does to me.

Looking Ahead

As I look toward the future, my mission remains unchanged.

To advocate fiercely.

To negotiate thoughtfully.

To solve complex problems with integrity.

To create customized strategies for every client.

To help people make informed decisions—even when that decision is not to buy or sell.

Because this work has never been about transactions alone.

It's about helping people build the lives they dream of.

Awards may measure transactions, but they will never measure the lives changed, the problems solved, or the dreams realized along the way. Those moments remain the greatest privilege of my career, and I look forward to continuing to help individuals, families, investors, and business owners confidently Own Their Dreams.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.
